applications
KCH’s rubber linings are used in various areas:
- Medium- and large-size process equipment fabricated from steel, such as storage tanks, absorbers, bulk transportation containers, evaporators, pipework
- Process equipment exposed to the action of aggressive, corrosive liquids and gases – salt solutions, HCl, phosphoric acid, flue gas scrubbers
- Pressure and vacuum vessels
- Concrete vessels and pits
- Railroad tankers / road tankers
- Reaction columns
- Pipelines in the chemical industry
Chemical industry – chlorine industry, dyestuff industry, potash industry
Transport – tank lorries, rail cars
Flue gas desulphurization, Waste incineration, Coal power station, Power plants
Main application fields for lining on site
Pre-vulcanized rubber lining:
- storage tanks
- phosphoric acid industry
Self-vulcanizing rubber lining:
absorbers flue gas desulfurization
- power plants and waste incineration plants
- phosphoric acid industry
As a protection against chemical attacks by acids, caustic solutions, salt solutions, different chemicals or vapour rubber linings with 3 to 6 mm thickness are used.
In the case of mechanical stresses (pressure, abrasion) the protective layers are fixed correspondingly.
We apply rubber where you needed
Whether new or to be renewed – KCH’s lining know-how is applied everywhere. In vessels, tanks or pipes – our rubber materials ®VULCOFERRAN, ®GENAKOR and ®VULKODURIT refuse to yield to chemical attack and thermal stress.
We install soft or hard rubber/ebonite linings either in workshops or at your site. Entirely in accordance with your wishes and the demands of the job.
To achieve the best result as quickly as possible – that is our main concern.
Another important consideration: In the case of relining work, we naturally take charge of the disposal of the old surface protection.
Depending on the prevailing conditions the parts will be prepared for the application of the corrosion protection.
The removal of the existing lining and shot blasting are the basis for the rubber lining process.
To ensure a good bonding between rubber and steel, a seam solution will be applied on the steel surface.
The lining of the steel surface will be done by application of rubber sheets by means of manually operated special lining materials.
In these areas of application, you can count on our whole range of experience:
- Pressure and vacuum vessels
- Agitators
- Storage tanks
- Chlorine electrolysis cells
- Filters
Process equipment for waste water treatment plants
- Process equipment for electroplating and pickling lines
- Valves
- Pipes and fittings of corrosion resistant design.
Whether the lining work is done in workshops or on site, it is solely carried out by our trained specialists.
We also do the vulcanizing and quality testing ourselves – only in this way can we guarantee that your rubber lining meets our quality standards.
Getting involved at every stage influence the quality – from production to final inspection. From selection of the materials via the specific components of the mix to production of the application-ready rubber sheet, every step is carried out in our plants.
